Job Title: Summer Camp Activity Leader
Internship dates: June 22 to August 20, 2024 (a shorter time frame is negotiable)
Location: Limassol, Cyprus
Embark on a journey with Sunny School and join our international team of educators from June 22 to August 20 or a part of it! As the Summer Camp Activity Leader, you’ll play a vital role in shaping the experiences of teenagers and juniors from around the world. Responsibilities:
– Craft and organize dynamic activities that resonate with teenagers and juniors at Sunny School Camp, fostering a global perspective and exchange of cultures.
– Lead daily schedules with a blend of engaging recreational, educational, and team-building activities, aligning seamlessly with Sunny School’s ethos. A summer camp schedule will be provided with some flexibility to suggest other activities.
– Cultivate a positive and inclusive camp environment, promoting teamwork and personal growth for a diverse group of campers from different corners of the globe.
– Collaborate enthusiastically with our international team of educators to integrate activities into the overall camp program, creating a truly enriching experience. Directly report to the Camp Director and School Director.
– Supervise and guide campers during activities, ensuring safety and security and adherence to Sunny School’s high standards. Must remain attentive to children’s presence and attendance.
– Plan and execute special events, theme days, and camp-wide initiatives, infusing each moment with the spirit of cultural exchange and learning. You will coordinate some activities with other teachers specialised in certain areas.
– Communicate seamlessly with Sunny School leadership, staff, and parents about activity schedules and camper participation, contributing to the global impact we strive for.
– Evaluate the success of activities, gathering feedback to continually enhance the Sunny School global camp experience.
– Be flexible with your schedule, ready to embrace the adventure on any day of the week.
Requirements:
– previous experience in coordinating activities for teenagers and juniors in a camp or educational setting is preferred
– Strong organisational and leadership skills with the ability to multitask.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, embracing the diversity within our international team.
– Fluency in English is required, and proficiency in a second language, preferably French, Russian, or Italian, is a delightful bonus.
– Passion for working with youth and creating memorable camp experiences with a global impact. Artistic and creative spirit is considered a plus.
– CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
